Located in the heart of Notting Hill is this elegant fine dining restaurant which proudly seeks out the best of British produce to share in its culinary delights. Core is the debut restaurant of award winning Clare Smyth, the former head chef of Gordon Ramsay’s Chelsea flagship restaurant.

Since its inception in 2017, Core has received numerous rewards including three Michelin stars, five AA rosettes, 10/10 in the Good Food Guide, New Restaurant of the Year by The Craft Guild of Chefs, Best Restaurant at the GQ Food & Drink Awards, Service Award at the National Restaurant Awards.

Diners can choose from three main menus, Core Classics, Core Seasons or A La Carte. Core Classics menu is set at £155 featuring divine dishes like Isle of Harris Scallop Tartare, Beef and Oyster, Pear and Verbena. Core Seasons is set at £175 and a top recommendation would be the Steamed Portland Crab or Rhug Estate Venison amongst others. The A La Carte menu is a three course with the lunch set at £105 and dinner £125 featuring top favourites, Lobster and Spelt, Lemonade Parfait.

Nestled between Knightsbridge and Belgravia sits Petrus by Gordon Ramsay, a Michelin-starred restaurant serving exquisite modern French cuisine. Chef’s Table experience is available for up to 6 guests and consists of a seven course bespoke menu cooked for you by the Michelin-starred chefs behind the pass where you sit. The three course A La Carte menu is priced at £100 and includes the mouth-watering dishes Herdwick Lamb and Cornish Cod. Scott’s

In the heart of Mayfair sits the famous Scott’s seafood and fish restaurant, one of five of the oldest restaurants in London. Over the years, Scott’s has greeted politicians, writers such as Ian Fleming and film stars. To this day it remains one of the most popular and glamourous restaurants in town. An oval marble topped champagne and oyster bar dominates the front of house, with cosy tables towards the rear. The A La Carte menu boasts a plethora of seafood and fish dishes with a few meat choices thrown in for good measure, however the focus is on our friends from the sea! Choose from oysters, caviar, shellfish, raw dishes, lobster, fish on the bone, plus starters, main and sides. An absolute favourite must be the 22oz Dover Sole or the Whisky and Soy Smoked Salmon. Mains start from a reasonable £22, however, if you’re feeling flush, splash out on 125g of Beluga Caviar for £875.

Brat

Former head chef of Kitty Fisher’s in Mayfair, Tomos Parry has opened his first solo restaurant Brat in Shoreditch, London. The creative Welshman won Young British Foodie Chef of the Year award 2014, he shone with his culinary delights in Kitty Fisher’s and is now cooking up a storm in his beloved Brat. The varied menu features starters like Velvet Crab Soup, mains from £21 including Wild Rabbit Rice, Mutton Chop with Offal Sausage & Beans, but the stars of the show must be the Whole Turbot starting from £110 (2-3 person) to £120 (4-6 person) or the Beef Sirloin/Rib at £58/£85.
