In a nutshell, charlottes.co.uk is a blog all about British restaurants. It will bring you highlights of some of the best restaurants to be found in our UK cities. This is an honest and unbiased blog with no loyalties to any particular venue. It’s not about twisting your arm to spend at a particular restaurant but to bring you a factual account of every top restaurant available for when you may have the opportunity to visit the city or if you are a resident of the city looking for a new restaurant to try out.

Who’s Behind The Blog?

Hey! Nice to meet you. I’m Jasmine, better known as ‘Jaz’, to my friends and family, oh and now you guys, of course! I am a lover of travelling, sightseeing and, more importantly, for the purpose of the blog, a real foodie. I have had the good fortune to be able to travel to many new and exciting places where I have been able to experience diverse and varied cuisine.

It was on one of those expeditions that I began to realise my passion for reviewing top-notch restaurants and how sharing those honest and unbiased thoughts could help others to experience the same culinary delights. I also wanted to highlight the deserved recognition for the hard-working chefs and their teams which bring these restaurants to life through dedication and commitment.

So, fed up with trying to fit every ‘buzz’ word possible into a tiny review box to express how amazing a place was and always regretting that I hadn’t mentioned key features that I later remembered or realising upon reflection that it just didn’t cut the mustard and share my true inner feelings as I had kept it short and sweet for impact, hoping my review would be the one people would read, it was then that my blog was born.

The perfect avenue to help people find new places and experience food from every corner of the world without travelling thousands of miles to reach it. Your new adventure could be just a few miles along the UK’s motorways. In fact, for some people, it might just be a question of stepping outside the front door and turning left instead of right as some of these hidden gems are not on the map yet but are right on your doorstep!

Why My Blog?

I am aware that there are plenty of foodie blogs out there alongside well-known review sites and these all have their place. However, if you guys are anything like me, I don’t just trust in one review, I read several before making my mind up. You want to reach a balanced decision, and I want to become your first ‘go-to’ blog, therefore I will only write factual and useful information gleaned from the UK restaurants.
